1130: "Antisemitism"?

After making this post I did some searches on which group of people are considered semitic but answers I got from google's AI kept citing the bible. Had I done that earlier I would not have questioned the application of that here which I did under the impression that I am dealing with science or pure history thing, not religion. That is because at least when it comes to the issue of not applying "antisemitic" to discriminations against which other groups sharing that origin may complain, there is an answer in, unlike the jewish-christian old testament text connection, not knowing how the believe in this ancestry is shared by their faith. As indicated above, this is not the result of the for/against balance on this issue. I am just mentioning what would have been good enough to stop me from going into it at such insufficient level of preparation.

 I wonder if whoever started the use of this term the way it has been used had congratulated himself thinking "I am going to stand against discrimination targeting one group, and I am going to use for that a term that itself also horribly discriminates against all other groups sharing the same ancestry by denying that origin of them"?

 By the way, considering how a person can be, for example, arab but not muslim, I think that the absence of separate, clear and ready designations like that for the subgroup at focus here is big force toward unhealthy existence. Rather than the other way around, very often words control perceptions.

1129: Hey, Online Retailers!

 Why are you making things harder to access the market for yourselves and also for those who make products to earn living and could need any exposure telling people that they make real thing of value but your star rating forcing on reviews disables that? Why not at least allow the first, like for example 30,  reviews to be without a rating?  

1128: White vs dark oat fiber

  This is about post 1122. I want to mention that the oat fiber I used until it ran out lately was very white, and I have not yet found such white oat fiber. It was a bag of a brand called Naturtonix I bought several years before I started using it regularly, and this brand seems to be no longer available. The issue is with the additional soluble fiber those brownish oat fiber available in the market could have. There is also a difference in taste. That one tasted like paper while I feel like I can even snack on those brownish oat fiber. Also, that one had it written clearly that it is the fiber from just the hull, not just "oat fiber" like what I can find in the market now.    

1127: "Soccer" vs "Football"

  One may go along with calling world's football as "soccer" here and let the people here keep "football" for their "football". But the fact is that what things are called often play big role in going back to the concepts behind them. As done in the preceding post, I can connect and drive enough to build soccer from calling it "football". But how much of American "football" can be connected to and driven from calling it "football"? Frankly speaking the connection is so week (or even contradictory) that calling it by this name feels like an unheard of crazy meaningless application of a word.   

1126: The shoulder push in soccer

 Actually, it is not just the shoulder push but there are so many horrifying things commonly and regularly occur and tolerated in this game like it is not an issue even though they are against the same principle mentioned below. If there is a player to player physical thing allowed it should be only the shoulder push by the player not with the ball to get closer to the ball. The player with the ball is not allowed to put any force or use the arms through any unnatural extending to shield or keep another player away from getting closer to compete for the ball. One could also say that any shielding by the player with the ball that is the result of the arm being extended beyond what that player would have extended it if there were no other player nearby is not allowed. Another test is that if you direct extending the arm at the other player then it is most probably not a valid action.

 I probably would have better supported the conclusion below by referring to how strongly soccer seems to be rooted at directly affecting only the ball not other players. 

And I have just found out that it seems that there is no exclusion for shoulder to shoulder pushing in soccer's law to begin with.

 Here is a thought for another test to determine valid from invalid shoulder push in soccer and reduce its abuse. Let us first ask why should there be a special distinction for shoulder pushing? Is it to allow unnecessary taking advantage of one's strength and stability in a game that is seemingly that much about moving and maneuvering? I do not think so. Instead, I think that having a rule of shoulder push in soccer shows that the game is so intended to be force free in players contact that it needed to state a rule for such a hard to avoid physical contact. I think that the purpose of this rule is limited to enabling two players to compete for the ball when they are side by side. So starting from this purpose as the root to determine valid from invalid shoulder push we can make the following determination from the onset: The player possessing or controlling the ball is not allowed to do shoulder push, and the player beside him is not allowed to do it with a force leading to destabilize the opponent rather than just the amount of  force needed to stay close enough to compete for the ball.

By the way, why do referee rulings in women's soccer seem to follow the same level of permitted contact intended applied in men's soccer to go along with their harsher nature even though that is more against how soccer is intended to be as a concept?   

1125: Who chose the goalkeeper for the soccer USWNT?!

Unless biased, how could one get this that wrong? Because unlike choosing for other positions, here even without watching the matches, a test involving a number of shots from the penalty mark can be by itself a strong indication for who can better serve the position.

I never thought that anyone would miss Jane Campbell and Adrianna Franch being the best choice as the goal keepers for the national team. Such a thing has never occurred to me until just a short time ago after I searched and found that they are not from different nationality (I thought they are French). Are you kidding me? I never thought that them being the best goalkeepers can even be contested. I think that such thing happens only here and that soccer professionals from other countries would scratch their heads in perplexity or laugh their socks off for such a, not one but double, huge miss. 

Silly me, used to wonder about not taking enough care of the group playing feature of women's soccer then it turns out that I am among people who miss one of the most obvious choices and least differed on among even the none professionals: the goalkeeper choice.

1124: Inhibited Soccer Playing.

    Currently at October 12 in watching the NWSL and I wonder what more still need to occur for coaches of the less successful NWSL teams to realize and care about how much their players are not really missing the goal of the opponent team rather than aiming at the out, and in general how much they are internally inhibited from scoring. Rather than being the less probable potential, one instead can in general bet on missing the goal or shooting inadequately (or not shooting at all)  when such opportunity occurs for those teams. The internal inhibition seems to me so strong that even when a shot hits one of the goal bars I do not think about a tiny error that made the shot miss but instead think about the tiny correction that was withheld from the shot to make it miss all the out. 

Those teams need to correct themselves or otherwise they can be designated as honorary middle eastern teams, which are the kings of inhibited playing in men's soccer.

1123: Corn Tortilla Shelf life

Yesterday I finally decided to check on a big bag of white corn tortillas (La Banderita brand) in my pantry that has an expiration date in 2018 and was not even refrigerated for a big chunk of that time to this day. Nevertheless, they tasted good and are as usable or more usable than new tortillas. 

1122: Insoluble fiber may need more attention

 I do not know if it is just because I had a period in which I consumed too much psyllium husk (as part of coconut bread making) or that ignoring the type of fiber is not that much a good advice, but I have very recently focussed on consuming much more insoluble fiber and by as much as I can no soluble fiber or resistance starch (although not as much restriction with the later because of my rice addiction) and I became with healthy bowel movements like I have never been for a long time. I do not know if others need to take the same measure but they may need to pay more attention to their need to consume insoluble fiber, because it seems like most of the fiber around us is of the soluble type. Coconut flour is one of the exceptions (although that apparently was not enough to counter the amount of psyllium husk I used to take with it in the coconut flour bread I used to make) but recently I have been adding oat hull insoluble fiber (sold in packages) to the bread I make from regular flour (although I now think that I may not need to lower that because I also began to consume too much sesame seeds (of the hull not removed type) which are also high in insoluble fiber).          

1121: Driving People Crazy With Me

Now I switch my evaluation to neither is good. I have better to represent both cases below, but I brought those because of the minimal change in facial expression. Anyway, HERE is one on the good side from a video made days earlier in 2017 .

THIS is a combination for two snapshots I took for myself from a video made in 2017. They are just three seconds apart, yet my evaluation says that I look good in one but not the other or at least that one is much better than the other.

1120: Women Ushering New Era In Soccer

 Every time I go back to watching more men soccer I again feel impressed about how much soccer was like just a group of instrument players sitting together but women, especially the NWSL, made it an orchestra. And this goes on top of their competitiveness in individual skills. They are showing soccer as entertaining to a level that was far from the world and the like of which a rare occurrence. Even within this short history of being under attention, matches played at a level that may make them called match of the century or something of that sort on the men side are passed on like a regular thing here.

I wrote this while watching Real Madrid vs Barcelona men's match of 2005, and except for few moments of individual skills it is more boring than NWSL matches occurred in the hot weather even though that one had occurred on November 19.

1119: For A Cleaner Soccer

 I have also talked about this before. The soccer I am familiar with does not require the capability to resist pushing applied to you beyond the shoulder to shoulder contact, and I do not know how one could generate enough force to make the other person fall or lose balance if it is truly just shoulder to shoulder contact. To me it is all about the skills and not even a little bit about body strength and stability against challenging forces applied by other players. Unfortunately, it seems like some referees allow such force applications and thereby killing true soccer talents affected by that. And although there could be a difference on this, I also do not see a place in soccer for extending to the side the hand intentionally for preventing the other player from getting to the ball.

For that arm extending thing, it seems like a technical rule can be made to solve a big part of the issue, and that rule is not to allow such extending if the underarm angle is over 45 degrees.

1118: NWSL Season Period

In addition to better dealing with the weather, dividing the off period into two, one for winter and one for summer, seems to also be a good solution for the exhaustion issue. I do not think that having all that period in one chunk is needed for recovery. I wonder what the players themselves think. I also would understand  if a majority of the players say that they prefer to take the whole off period in summer because they see that avoiding the hot weather is also the best way to avoid exhaustion.

To be fair, I think the effect of the kind of weather especially the heat and humidity need to be taken into account for evaluating performance in both genders soccer. I even read Yesterday about how Maradona objected to the time assigned for the match of 86 against England and was labeled trouble maker because of that.

Are you kidding me? What a change in performance for the matches of August 23 to 31 (which is what I am currently at) in comparison with that during the hot weather period! And, of special interest to me is how the defense is more active and has much less, if any, of those pausing moments. Most if not all the goals I saw in this period are the result of the attack performing better than the defense rather than the defense having that lacking.

If the physical activity itself is not enough to keep one worm in winter, there is also the option of wearing more or thicker clothes (although current FIFA rules may need to change to allow more options for that). But what would you do in hot and humid weather? Carry your own air-condition machine with you? Also, does it have to be that all winter is avoided while all summer is taken? The season could for example skip December, January and mid June to mid August. In addition, the scheduling could be required to be by as much as possible for that places closer to the south to have matches during the colder months and places closer to the north to have matches during the hotter months. 

However, as I said before, I have not seen before soccer matches played while the sun is still strong like I saw that in the NWSL. Avoiding UV danger is clearly even more important than playing in comfortable weather.

 I have talked about this before and here is another reminder. I wonder how much when making any tradeoff here there was careful and sufficient taking into account for how much hot whether affects the quality of the playing. Frankley speaking, in general, the quality has deteriorated from probably mid May, while in the matches of August 23 (which I am currently at) it seems to have made a big leap for the better. 

By the way, how about the goal at around 1:25:26 video time of THIS  match?

Just want to bring to attention that players representing undemocratic countries may not have the option to make such admissions even if they want to do that.

 While commentators keep mentioning that there is a prize for the team who wins the most of them as if the amount of that prize  is really worthy of consideration, I feel no doubt that the players who make those admissions would have done so with and without any prize because they do it from a moral ground and for their win to be real not fake.   

1115: Confused about the offside rule..

 ..in soccer because you often see goals counted even though they seem to be obvious offside? So was I until yesterday after I found THIS site and read point number 3 there.

1114: What kind of Soccer Referee is This?!!!!

Probably as a response to the actions of the one mentioned below, the referee of THIS match also acted horribly and one sample of that is what happened at around 35:40 in video time.

 Go to 58:40 (video time) of THIS match and watch what happened within seconds then also continue to 1:00:30 to see more of the horrible shameless biased ruling of this so called "referee". I actually was watching the Spanish commentating version of the match but switched to this one to see how those commentators would react and found another horrible shameless behaviour in that they did not point out the facts anywhere as strong as that should have been. Both of the first and second violations seem clearly worthy of red cards not just yellow.

I also remember this same referee giving that Sullivan girl of North Carolina Courage just a yellow card on an action that was like playing Judo to take the player of the opposing team down.

1111: Book Additions And Corrections - 7: Subjects Having Commas

I do not know why I said that other exception reverses construction direction. Instead, what the relative pronouns mentioned do is like providing a copy to substitute the content of the preceding segment and therefore the connection of the content following it within the segment of the relative pronoun can be internal. Therefore that segment would stay in its place and so would the comma separating it from the verb if that segment is the closet to the verb.

 I confused things below by explaining them through the construction in the direction of reading rather than the construction in the direction of building. In other words, I should have started from the first comma separated segment and worked my way to the one closest to the verb while along the way take account of the kind of the connecting words if they indicate separation (as in the first exception below) or reverse direction (as in the second exception below). 

When the subject on its own has one or more commas then it must also have a comma separating it from the verb or otherwise just the closest segment to the verb would be the subject. The question is if it also should be handled from its mere thought or not.

 Despite how often it has occurred to me when dealing with subjects that have one or more commas other than the comma separating them  from the verb that there is no existence according to just the mere thought there (I used to call that "handling the subject from its mere thought" but I now intend to adjust that understanding), I couldn't understand why until yesterday (technically today). As mentioned at the start of chapter four, outside the subject-verb-object relation, comma separated parts have dependency in existence on each other that goes in the opposite direction to reading. So here the existence of another comma in the subject implies that the part next to the comma preceding the verb does not exist before completing the construction of all parts of the subject, and doing that would dissolve all commas including the one separating from the verb.

So based on this I have erred below and erred similarly in my book.  

However, there is no dependency in existence among comma separated parts intended to survive separately as in with connecting through the "or" or "and" (a list is an example of that). 

Another exception I am taking from the  writ is about the use of the relative pronouns "who" , "whom", "which", "what", "that" because they reverse the direction of the construction.
