1125: Who chose the goalkeeper for the soccer USWNT?!

Unless biased, how could one get this that wrong? Because unlike choosing for other positions, here even without watching the matches, a test involving a number of shots from the penalty mark can be by itself a strong indication for who can better serve the position.

I never thought that anyone would miss Jane Campbell and Adrianna Franch being the best choice as the goal keepers for the national team. Such a thing has never occurred to me until just a short time ago after I searched and found that they are not from different nationality (I thought they are French). Are you kidding me? I never thought that them being the best goalkeepers can even be contested. I think that such thing happens only here and that soccer professionals from other countries would scratch their heads in perplexity or laugh their socks off for such a, not one but double, huge miss. 

Silly me, used to wonder about not taking enough care of the group playing feature of women's soccer then it turns out that I am among people who miss one of the most obvious choices and least differed on among even the none professionals: the goalkeeper choice.

1124: Inhibited Soccer Playing.

    Currently at October 12 in watching the NWSL and I wonder what more still need to occur for coaches of the less successful NWSL teams to realize and care about how much their players are not really missing the goal of the opponent team rather than aiming at the out, and in general how much they are internally inhibited from scoring. Rather than being the less probable potential, one instead can in general bet on missing the goal or shooting inadequately (or not shooting at all)  when such opportunity occurs for those teams. The internal inhibition seems to me so strong that even when a shot hits one of the goal bars I do not think about a tiny error that made the shot miss but instead think about the tiny correction that was withheld from the shot to make it miss all the out. 

Those teams need to correct themselves or otherwise they can be designated as honorary middle eastern teams, which are the kings of inhibited playing in men's soccer.

1123: Corn Tortilla Shelf life

Yesterday I finally decided to check on a big bag of white corn tortillas (La Banderita brand) in my pantry that has an expiration date in 2018 and was not even refrigerated for a big chunk of that time to this day. Nevertheless, they tasted good and are as usable or more usable than new tortillas.
